Cowell. Eyre Peninsula. A copy of the inauguration of the Commonwealth of Australia on Janaury 1 1901 in the Melbourne Exhibition Building presented to the Cowell Institute in 1908.

Eyre Peninsula. The first state school opened in Kimba in 1920. This school was built in 1924. It closed in 1962 as Kimba Area School opened in 1963. Taken over by the Senior Citizens Club in 1967.

Streaky Bay state school. Windows differ as first stage built in 1901 and then another room added later beyond the stone gable which is now in the roof. Closed in 1976 and now the town Museum.

Iron Knob. The old tin Anglican Church. It would have opened around 1900 after BHP started mining iron ore here in 1899.

Poochera Eyre Peninsula. The very rare Dinosaur Ant was found at Poochera in 1977. Next to an information board is this statue of a tiny Dinosaur Ant. They are only one centimetre long.

Poochera Eyre Peninsula. Peter Sheridan's flattened Pennant brand kerosene humpy built on scrub land in Poochera in the 1920s. Now in the Poochera open air museum.

Ceduna. The National Trust Museum. Photographs of the Maralinga the atomic bomb testing site of the British in the 1950s. Note the colour shot of the atomic bomb explosion. Seven such bombs set off 1956 to 1963.

Whyalla. At the Mount Laura National Trust Homestead museum the railway plaque for the opening of the Port Augusta to Whyalla railway. It closed inthe 1980s. A Budd car train linked Whyalla and Adelaide. .

Port Lincoln. The rare and unusual Starfish Iris or Sea Spider flower near Mikkira homestead south of Port Lincoln. Its botanical name is Ferraria crispa from Cape Province South Africa. It is a member of the iridaceae family.
