Silverton. Mining ghost town. The Silverton Tramways Company station. Ran from SA border to Broken Hill 1887 to 1969. Carried 2.8 million passengers 42 million tons ores and 14 million tons of freight.

Dunkeld. Off the Rails. The Ararat to Dunkeld and Hamilton railway reached Dunkeld in 1877. The station was built not long after. It is identical to the railway station in Heywood. Now a community hall.

Medindie. George Goyder built a cottage on his 30 acres here in 1856 which he enlarged to a grand house in 1866. He sold it in 1883 and new owners added an upper floor.

Towitta. The ruins of the Schippan cottage built around 1902.They left it in 1908. One of their daughters Bertha was murdered in their previous cottage nearby in 1902.
