Galga. In the Murray Mallee. St Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church. Foundation stone laid 1923 and church opened 1924. Now a private residence.

Lock on Eyre Peninsula. Mural of Albert Lock of the SA Survey Department who was killed in Belgium in 1917. The town was named after him when surveyed in 1918. On the mural is an actual letter he wrote home in 1917.

Hynam near Naracoorte. Headstone of Thomas Hope in the Adam Smith family walled cemetery on Hynem sheep station. Hope was buried in 1876.

Balmoral. This stone Presbyterian church opened in 1865. It became a Uniting church in 1977 but is now closed and used as a house. It is probably the most impressive building in this very Scottish background town.

Mt Gambier. Commercial Flour mills in Mt Gambier built in 1901 to process oats and wheat. Closed in 1975.

Lock. Eyre Peninsula. The statue honouring the hard phsyical work of the wheat lumpers who hauled the heavy bags of wheat from the farm to the railway to the port.

Clements Gap in the Hummock Ranges. This plaque marks the site of the Clements Gap government School. 1892 to closure in 1942. The first school opened in 1880 and clsoed 1882. Some 393 students attended the school to 1942..

Swan Hill. The Art Deco style Town Hall built in 1934 at a cost of over 21,265 pounds. It was restored a few years ago. Note urns in niches on front wall.

Apsley. These two English oak trees were planted in 1902 to commemorate the relief of Mafeking by Colonel Robert Baden-Powell and his British troops during the Boer War in May 1900.

Wasleys. The quartz monument to Charles Mullen who developed a special system for cultivating around Mallee roots. Needed in the 19th century to prepare scrub for wheat paddocks. Roots had to be finally removed.
