Tarlee on the Gilbert River. This fine stone building erected in 1896 in the railway yards at Tarlee was built for Klubale and Long as a chaff mill. The business closed in 1953.

Tailem Bend. This railway siding for passenger trains running between Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge was called Tailem Bend West. In 1940 an Aboriginal word was adopted. Wurtun means warm.

Wallaroo. The 1914 Art Nouveau South Australian Railways station now has a mural along the platform wall. This part depicts the Hughes copper smelters at Wallaroo. Only one smelter chimney remains today.

Kapunda. The ruins of the Buhl Winding House built 1861 to 1862 but it never had a Buhl engine in it. The Winding House hauled containers of copper ore to the surface using chains housed in these grooves. It oeprated till 1878. .
