Inneston. Old gypsum mining town. They mined Lake Inneston seen in photo. Gypsum mined 1913 to 1930. Town of Inneston is now a ghost town. Visible the ruins of the general store. Town closed 1930. Now Innes National Park .

Wasleys. Old photograph of the once large Wasleys Railway Station. The railway from Gawler reached here in 1868. Trains to Burra passed through Wasleys from 1870. Station now demolished .A scene from the busy 1970s.

Colac. St Johns Anglican Church built in red brick with a square tower in 1870. Narrow Gothic windows. The transept is a later addition with different coloured bricks.

Colac. Hulms Bakery. Was the Colac Reformer newspaper offices built in 1875. Revamped in 1925 with an Art Deco shell and panel saying Colac Reformer est 1875.. Unusual.

Colac. The former Post Office built in 1876 with 1888 additions. Entrance with triple arches and central clock in triangualr pediment and perfect symmetry. Next to the Shire Hall built in 1892.

Penola. A reconstruction of Alexander Cameron and his wifes cabin home. Built around 1845. His wife was Margaret MacKillop. Saint Mary MacKillop lived here as governess 1860 to 1862..

Colac. The Art Deco Freemasons Hall with leadlight window. Built in 1924 with a fine gable facing the street.

Coolamon. The Coolamon Hotel. opened in 1880 before the railway reached the town as a bush shanty. The current appearance dates from around 1900 with Edwardian features. Updated after 1990s fire.

Balmoral. Old Woodlands homestead built in 1872 half in brick and half in weatherboard. Charles Wood ran a fellmongery business on the Glenelg River. His family continued it into into the 1920s and possibly later.

Maitland East. This sandstone church was designed by architects Cyril and Arthur Blacket, sons of the famous Edmund Blacket architect. The church was completed in 1885. The nave.

Wunkar. A school started here in 1925 in a weatherboard room. This cement structure was built at the end of World War Two in 1945 as the wooden rooms burnt down.More timber rooms were added in the 1950s. School closed in 1974.

Lyrup. After holding church services in the school or Institute from 1907 the Methodists erected a weatherboard church in 1960 with a Mt Gambier limestone facade. It was sold to the Lutherans in 1970 and is now privately owned.

Cradock South Australia on the way to Hawker in the Flinders Ranges. Beyond Goyder's Line but town created 1878 and land sold to wheat farmers. Catholic church opened 1883. Has been a weekender for many years. An area of disappointment for farmers.

Adelaide. Rostrevor House. This eastern two storey wing was added in 1877 by Ross Reid to the original single storey Woodforde House built in 1858. The colonnade was added in 1887 by James Smith Reid. It is now Rostrevor College.

Baroota. SA. The public hall. Used as a government school 1924 to the closure of Baroota School in 1942. New windows on southern side installed in 1920s to add light for the children.

Walpeup. This grand red brick Catholic Church is now unused and in disrepair. it was completed in 1921 and is the oldest church in the Murrayville to Ouyen districts.

Gilgandra. NSW. The tower of the 1922 built Anglican Church. Partly funded by money from Bournemouth England as Gilgandra had the best WW1 war servcie record in the British Empire.

Adelaide. Rostrevor House. The beautiful colonnaded veranda of Rostrevor House. The colonnade was added in 1887 by J.S Reid. In the background is Rostrevor College Chapel built in 1939. Rostrevor House has been Rostrevor College since 1923.

Bathurst. The first Presbyterian church was erected here in the 1850s. Early morning light on the 1872 built Presbyterian Church in Bathurst New South Wales.
