Wagga. The historic church precint with the Catholic Cathedral, Anglican Church and Pesbyterian Church all within a stones throw of each other. Mainly completed in 1887 but tower and side structures added in 1922.

Kapunda. The general cemetery with headstone of two infant children of Sir Sidney Kidman who died in the 1890s. He was the Cattle King and owned more of Australia than anyone else

Port Fairy. Talara House. A beautiful Gothic Tudor house with fancy barge boards on the gable ends. Built 1855. Now accommodation for tourists.

Kapunda. The North Kapunda Hotel. Sir Sidney Kidman conducted his horse sales in the yards behind the hotel from 1899 to 1918. Hotel established 1849. Formerly known as the Sir Sidney Kidman Hotel.

Streaky Bay. Come in. Limestone walls enclosed the pioneer cemetery which was established just after the town was declared in 1872.

Middleton. At the railway siding as a Steamranger train departs for Victor Harbor.

Mount Gambier. The Anglican Rectory. Designed by a local architect and built in 1864. The stables have heritage listing. The first occupant Rev Needham died within a year. Still used as the rectory for Christ Church.

Gulgong. Historic but shabby treasure. Old store with roof top finials, iron bars on windows, parapet and gables.

Goroke. The timber framed Anglican Church. Services began around 1900 in the Goroke Institute. The Anglican Church was open by 1910. Note the wooden buttresses.

Burfords Signal Soap advert on the old wheat store in Auburn South Australia. In the Clare Valley. Burfords were the major soap and candle makers in Adelaide in the 19th century.

Clare. In the National Trust Museum is this unusual man trap based on a large rabbit trap. Never used.

Bendigo. The Penfold building in View Street. Built 1879 for Dr Penfold a cousin fo the Penfold Winery family of Adelaide.

Maitland. NSW. This imposing church begun in 1860. Opened in 1867. The architect was the noted Edmund Blackett. Note the fine stone tracery in the windows. Gothic in style in local sandstone and of grand proportions.
