Gympie. Old gold mining town. The old railway station. The train line reached Gympie from Maryborough in 1881 and from Brisbane in 1891.

Mount Gambier Railway Station. The wooden station built in 1879 was demolished and this Art Deco station built in 1918. Last passenger train left here 1990. Station closed 1995.

Port Augusta. The original stone railway station built around 1878 when the first railway line to Quorn was completed. Closed 1914 when the new station opened ready for first train to Perth.

Laura. SA. The Laura Courthouse was completed in 1878. They made provision for a later addition which never happened.

Echuca. The combined Echuca Town Hall and Petty Session Courthouse. Built 1869 in neo classical style. Architects Vahland and Getzschumann. Became library in 1954.

Tumut. The convent building which was part of the Catholic School. Built 1886 with very decorative barge boards on the gables.

Echuca. Central section with bay window built in 1860 as residence of Henry Hopwood. He died here 1869. Sold to nuns of St Brigid for a convent and school 1886. Still a Catholic School.

Maryborough. Brennan and Geraghty General Store. The store ledgers and receipts. This is as it was when the store closed in 1972. It opened for business in 1871.

Goroke. The timber framed St Philip Anglican Church. Services began around 1900 in the Goroke Institute. The Anglican Church was open by 1910.

Casino. NSW. Stunning Art Deco facade and pediment on a group of shops. Casino Centre buildings erected in 1937.

Kapunda. The North Kapunda Hotel. Sir Sidney Kidman conducted his horse sales in the yards behind the hotel from 1899 to 1918. Hotel established 1849. Was once known as the Sir Sidney Kidman Hotel.

Moonta Mines historic copper mine site. The ruins of the Hughes Smith and Elder shafts' concentrating plant near the Hughes Enginehouse. Built 1865. Sea water was pumped here and mixed with sulphuric acid.

Adelaide. The Mitchell building built 1881 at the University of Adelaide. In front is the statue of Sir Walter Watson Hughes of Moonta Mines who donated 20,000 pounds to start the university in 1872.

Murray Bridge.The three spans of the 1925 railway bridge. Beyond is the original road and rail bridge which was compelted in 1880.

Baroota. The ruins of Baroota homestead at Mambray Creek today. Unocccupied since 1969 in Mt Remarkable National Park. Dates from 1853. Owned by the Yeates brothers. Pug and native pine construction with stone fire places.

Tarlee on the Gilbet River. A fine stone residence built around 1900 as wood on the little roof gable. .
