Moonta. The Gothic church hall on right was the original Wesleyan Chuch built in 1866. The foundation stone of this grand Wesleyan Methodist Church was laid in 1873. Captain Hancock in charge of the copper mine worshipped here.

Snowtown.The Kadina to Snowtown railway built 1880 and a stone station. In 1923 the railway was extended from Bowmans Snowtown. The current station was built in 1945.

Moonta. Old copper mining town. This grand banking facade in the classical style was built in 1865 for the Bank of SA. Became the Union Bank as shown on parapet in 1892. Closed as a bank in 1943. Old 19th century chemist shop next door.

Yacka. SA. Joshua Tilbrook's stone blacksmith's shop built early 1880s. Employed 17 men once. Closed 1944. Nice central keystone over the arched entrance door.

Moonta Mines School opened in 1878. Idential to other schools in this copper mining district such as Wallaroo Mines, Moonta and Wallaroo Schools. It was designed for 800 students but opened with 1,000 students. Now a local museum.

Kadina. This fine double gable railway station was built in 1878 when the line to Port Wakefield was constructed. All train services finished in 1989.

Callington. The railway reached here around 1884 on the connection to Melbourne which began 1887. A local resident in the 1890s railway workers cottages has his own little Callington railway station. The old station has been demolished. .

Adelaide. Kensington Park. Art Deco detail in the foyer of the Regal Cinema. Built in 1925 as the princess and later the Chelsea. Architect was Chrisopher Smith who designed many Art Deco cinemas in Adelaide.

Moonta Mines. The ruins of Taylors Shaft copper crushing works. The shaft was 2,520 feet deep. A Cornish beam winding engine pulled the ore to this crushing plant.

Moonta. Old copper mining town. This is the Bible Christian Methodist Church built in 1873 in the romanesque style with rounded windows. In 1913 sold to the Churches of Christ. Now a private residence.

Wallaroo Mines a suburb of Kadina. These are the fine stone ruins of Harvey's Enginehouse built in 1876. The 60 inch pump here worked from 1876 to mine closure in 1923.

Wallaroo Yorke Peninsula. Wallaroo was the smelting hub for Moonta and Wallaroo copper Mines. Smelters owned by Sir Walter Watson Hughes. This first smelter chimney erected in 1861. There were 13 chimneys at its peak.
