| 説明 | so we went to el-jem, a small town along the central coast of tunisia. el-jem is a tiny nothing place, except for this massive roman colosseum in the middle of town. it's bigger and better preserved than the one in rome (there's an advantage to being in the middle of nowhere. no one used this colosseum as a quarry).our guidebook had no map of el-jem so when we arrived we were a little concerned that we wouldn't be able to find the colosseum. it wasn't a problem at all. this photo shows pretty much the whole town |
