| 説明 | What’s going on?Most of the space has recently been seeded to become a seasonal wild flower meadow, highlighting different blocks of colour and variety.Why?The space was a well loved vineyard for a long time, the wild flower meadow will help rejuvenate the ground ready for it’s long term plans.Read on:What’s the long term?Over the next few seasons the space will be restored to as it would have been 100 years ago. It would have been a fully functioning kitchen garden, grand enough to supply Ickworth house and estate, Bury St. Edmunds hospital and the 4th Marquis’ other large homes. During the very long term project, the restoration will include the apple and pear orchard, the fruit houses, the cut flower border and much more. |
