| 説明 | Fire Station No. 1's Engine No. 1, part of the equipment used by the Bozeman Fire Department (BFD) in Bozeman, Montana. This is a 2010 Sutphen pumper. I can find no other information about the equipment used by the BFD. (Neither the city nor the IAFF discusses the equipment used.)In 2004, Bozeman voters passed a permanent 4 mil levy to provide for capital improvements in the Bozeman Fire Department. This mil levy allowed the city to replace the aging Engine No. 1 (which was 20 years old) with this one, purchased in 2011. Additional achievements of the mil levy are the purchase of a 2011 Sutphen pumper for Fire Station No. 3, the construction of Fire Station No. 3, the co-construction (with Gallatin County) of a 911 call center, and the purchase of a HazMat Vehicle. As of 2012, the city was also considering replacing its 27-year-old ladder truck. (The truck's life is 20 years, and it is far beyond its useful lifespan.) |
