| 説明 | We checked into Tune Hotel in the Makati-2 district of Manila. We had several unpleasant surprises here. One, the subsidized breakfast and dinner packages were on pre-purchase of coupons only, something not indicated to us clearly at the time of check in, despite a poster advertising these budget meals on the counter as well as in our room. We landed in the Team Insider Sports Bar attached to the hotel in royal style, only to be told that they do not have coupon meals and we have to pay the regular rate. Oh well. We paid nearly Php 1100 for dinner for two pax that night and about Php 700 for breakfast the following morning. This is the interesting interior of the Team Insider where there are sports channels going on all the time on the TV screens. The centre tables are mounted on beer barrels. There are two GROs (Guest Relations Officer, the polite Filipino term for whore) on the table next to us, who gave my foster daugther the nastiest of stares. Getting the attention of the wait staff was some achievement. Special hostesses, like the one in blue in the centre of the picture (blurred due to low light and since she is walking fast) seemed to devote special attention to certain customers only, mostly European. The photo is not under exposed one bit, this is the kind of lighting inside, and there is no light above the two GROs, so they were sort of lurking in the dark, so to speak.
