| 説明 | The Maryland Army National Guard held a deployment ceremony July 14, 2013, at the Melvin H. Cade Armory in Baltimore for the 1229th Transportation Company. More than 200 members of the unit will be serving in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The unit will head to Fort Hood, Texas for training prior to deploying to Afghanistan. The 1229th was the first Maryland Guard transportation unit to deploy to Iraq and is scheduled to be among the last few units in Afghanistan. (Photo by Sgt.
