| 説明 | Native, yearlong-green, perennial, densely tufted grass to 90 cm tall. Leaf blades are flat to loosely inrolled, to 2 mm wide and hairless to hairy, with tufts of hairs either side of the ligule. Flowerheads are loosely contracted to open panicles. Found in a range of plant communities (especially woodlands and native grasslands) and soil types. Not common on the tablelands, mostly in drier areas. Native biodiversity. Generally of low abundance in pastures; it is moderately valuable for sheep and cattle, producing low amounts of high quality feed.Most growth is in spring, but produces green leaf year-round if there is adequate moisture.Persists and seeds prolifically unless very heavily and continuously grazed; will tend to decline if not grazed for a long period. |
