| 説明 | The Bombe was an electrical machine used to automate the process of testing "menus". These were descriptions of possible Enigma plug-board wiring configurations, which had to be divined each day since they were changed daily by the German signallers. Once the settings had been broken, both for the plugboard and the rotor wheels, all the days messages could be decoded. |
