| 説明 | Amtrak California café car # 6362, the Treasure Island, slides to a stop (still moving here, though...) at the Emeryville, CA Amtrak Train Station. Taken by a Nikon D40x with a Sigma 17-70mm ƒ 2.8-4 OS HSM macro lens (at 28)Treasure Island is a man-made island just north of Yerba Buena island (and connected to YBI by a causeway...) in San Francisco Bay. The island was made with fill over what had been a dangerous shoal for the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition. The island was named after the titular Treasure Island of the Robert Louis Stevenson book. Robert Louis Stevenson spent some time in The City before shipping out to the South Seas. |
