| 説明 | Around two years ago, we rescued Chuckie, a middle-aged Pomeranian, from the a certain termination in an Irish pound. Over the months, we were happy to share our household with him and to trade stories with the board.irishanimals.ie/index.php?showtopic=20574&st=0&.... Like all older dogs, Chuckie began to show a range of problems--possible diabetes, definite heart trouble, and arthritis. Treating one malady created other problems. At the time the Vatican was issuing reports on the health of Pope John Paul II, we were visiting our local veteranian every other day. We came to know it was time to take Chuckie on his last ride. We knew because he told us. He couldn't walk down stairs. He couldn't squat so he stopped eating. He didn't drink water because we had to support him whenever he stood for more than a few minutes. The eerie blue glow around Chuckie's black frame comes from a minor hailstorm outside, one that immediately generated a rainbow after Chuckie's last breath. It was his time to sleep. |
