| 説明 | Introduced cool-season erect tufted perennial grass to 80 cm tall. Flowerheads are narrow, contracted, 1-sided panicles. Spikelets are small (4-5 mm long), triangular, 4-12 flowered and awnless. Lemmas are inflated and as broad as long. Flowers in late winter and spring.A native of South America, it is found in low-fertility roadsides, neglected pasture and disturbed grassland.Its range and abundance are rapidly increasing, but very little is known about this species. Appears to have low palatability. Mostly invasive in neglected pastures, reserves and roadsides, but has also been reported as invasive in well managed pastures on the eastern edge of the Northern Tablelands of NSW. |
