説明 | Part of the "Decimated Landscapes" series where I photograph a landscape and then run it through Decim8 to create another "landscape".The results are symbolic. They are not meant to be interesting. This is the destructive phase. Square patterns and lines travel through the landscapes to represent the encroachment of buildings and roads through our natural resources. Natural patterns are disrupted to illustrate, for example, the common practice of tearing down existing trees and replanting with new and improved trees. Or perhaps nature's ability to mutate in order to adapt to changing environments. There is an ecological subtext in there.... |
