This was the first time I tasted one of their own, non-collaboration beers.Bridge Road Beechworth Robust Porter is a 5.2% abv porter. It poured a dark brown, almost black, color with a tan head. It smelled mildly of dark chocolate with some coffee notes. Mouthfeel was heavy bodied with a creamy texture. Flavor started out with notes of roasted coffee and a mild sourness, like cold ashes. Overall a very dry porter, finishing with roasted bitterness and a long ashy aftertaste. |
