| 説明 | The Maryland Army National Guard and town of La Plata, Md., hosted a series of concurrent events on Saturday that drew more than 400 members of the community, to include: Soldiers, Fire Fighters, Police Officers and other first responders. The day began with the Maryland National Guard’s March Against Hunger, a test of physical endurance combined with a food drive. The participants had to carry a rucksack filled with 25 pounds of food that was donated to local food banks over the 18.6-mile course around the town of La Plata. The Norwegian Military Attaché’s Office was on hand to award official certificates and badges to everyone who completed the march in the allotted time. The march started at City Hall in La Plata and ended in Laurel Springs Park. The National Guard and multiple state and local first responders displayed various equipment and vehicles including helicopters and a rock climbing wall in the park. |
