| 説明 | A bottle of Renosterbos from Bierwerk Afrikan Ales at Schouskjelleren in Oslo.Bierwerk is the African adventure of Danish gypsy brewer Christian Skovdal Andersen who also brew as Beer Here. The Renosterbos is an 11% abv barley wine brewed with South African cane sugar at Boston Breweries in Western Cape, South Africa, before maturation for seven months in red wine barrels. Naturally occuring brettanomyces yeasts, in the wine barrels, added a tart note to the beer.The beer poured a clear, copper red color with a thin, bubbly head. It had a sweet smell of caramel and ripe fruits. Mouthfeel was full bodied, oily and flat. Flavor started out with a rounded sweetness and ripe fruits, it also had some hints of oak. It finished sweet, with a slight tartness. I quite enjoyed it. |
