I noticed during testing an appearance of continuity of Point Lobos Ave past its intersection with Geary. It may be some old right of way or maybe creek bed. I can't see much evidence of a path just by inspecting clean satellite or aerial pictures (like google earth), other than in some of the shapes of buildings nearest the intersection, but it would be cool if the computer is making something visible across many decades that otherwise wouldn't be. The process applied looks for discontinuities in light and color between pixels, so if something ever existed along this curve that would cause it to differ in height from surrounding places (like compaction of soil), that might show up, even if property lines and most buildings don't retain any other traces of the previous use. |
