| 説明 | FIELD MARKS-crown and nape black,black wedge extends beloweye,forms a distinctive helmet. tail is shorter than prairie;wing tips almost reach end of tail; also lacks dark bar and axillaries on underwing. plumage varies from pale in highly migratory subspecies tundrius of the north to very dark in pealei from northwest olimpic peninsula to aleutians. in pealei,the largest subspecies, adult has heavy spotting on whitish breast,underparts very dark.rather sedentary intermediate anatum subspecies has thickest moustachial stripe; adult shows rufous wash below; juvenile is dark brownish above,underparts are heavily streaked.juvenile tundrius has a pale eyebrow and large pale area on side of side of face; underparts more finely streaked. |
