| 説明 | Cambodia isn't the richest country in the world. It's a place where poverty is overwhelming. A lot of the kids can't go to school because they have to help their parents make money. Often, they would work on farms, or in shops. Typically kids would start working around 3-4 years old. With that, it is common that tourists give a little money, 100-500 riel to be exact ($0.02-$0.12). Though I suggest giving them food.While doing a little sight seeing, we brought pickled fruits with us and gave them to people we cross paths with. This was an area where tourists never ever visit. They were quite surprised to see my mother, brother and I there. |
