| 説明 | A glass of Monk's Café 101 Oktan served on draft at Monk's Porter House in Stockholm, Sweden.Monk's Café 101 Oktan is a 9.5% abv imperial stout brewed by brewmaster Charles Cassino at the mother pub, Monk's Café, in Wallingatan in the north of Stockholm. This particular batch was brewed in 2010 and had been aged for two years in the cellar at Monk's Porter House.The beer poured pitch black with a tan head. It sported a lovely aroma of ripe fruits, cocoa, coffee and hints of joghurt. Mouthfeel was full bodied with a soft, creamy texture. The flavor started out with a good roasted character, still plenty of coffee, dark chocolate and a rounded toffee sweetness. Some licorice too as it warmed up. It finished with a mild hop bitterness and had a long aftertaste with lingering notes of chocolate and coffee.This is a well made imperial stout, nothing extraordinary but tasty and true to the style.[blog entry] |
