| 説明 | U.S. Army Africa sponsors medical readiness exercises in several different countries on the African continent. Known as MEDRETEs, these exercises are similar to this exercise that took place in Dominican Republic. In this photo Maj. Daniel Schwartz, an emergency physician with the 5501st U.S. Army Hospital at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, inspects the ear of a Dominican man at the medical readiness training exercise site June 6 in Laguneta, Dominican Republic. Schwartz was deployed to the Dominican Republic in support of Beyond the Horizon 2011 Dominican Republic, a U.S. Southern Command-sponsored, U.S. Army South-led, joint-service, interagency combined field training exercise geared to provide humanitarian and civic assistance to partner nations.
