説明 | This is the intercontinental terminal. Even the DC3 in the background qualifies - it was bound for Beirut.This land is now occupied by hotels and parking lots, but if you land on the northern runway you can still see the taxiways going up to the fence for no apparent reason.To the left you can see the statue of Alcock and Brown - the first to fly the Atlantic non stop in 1919. Behind the 707 you can see the nose and fin of a BOAC Comet. To the right, alongside the DC3, is a BOAC Britannia. |
