Among the competitions were “Best Moon Walk,” “Best MJ Look Alike,” and “Spookiest Costume.” Many of the prizes were lunch or dinner meals from the Alaska Mining Restaurant. “It’s good fun, good entertainment and the music is really good,” said Mitch Dolliver-Myers, from the 532nd Military Intelligence Battalion. “The live band is really good and a nice touch. Many of the songs they sang are really, really good.”Auto Reverse was the band and they sung some favorite MJ songs, including “Thriller” and “Black and White.” “I like the Michael Jackson Thriller theme, because I love Michael Jackson,” said Pfc. Childress Timeka, assigned to Headquarters Support Company, 602nd Aviation Support Battalion. Aaron Bowie, 11, was there with his family. He said that the party was “awesome because I get to be with my family.” His brother Ronnie, 15 said that he was entertained by the event and the highlight of this occasion for him was, “My last game, I just scored a 164.” |
