| 説明 | 7 Battalion, Durham Light InfantrySecond Lieutenant Frank Calder Tilbrook joined the Grimsby Chums (10th Battalion, Lincolnshire Regiment) as soon as he turned 19 on 3 October 1914. He accepted a commission and became a second lieutenant in the 7th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry, on 1 August 1915. He was attached to 231st Field Company, Royal Engineers, as an acting captain at the time of his death. After training at Houghton-le-Spring, he left for France on 10 November 1916. He was killed in action on 10 April 1918, aged 22. He is buried at Haverskerque British Cemetery in France.Faces of the First World WarThe full story is not always known to us.
