| 説明 | After seeing so many airplanes, both at Paine Field in Everett where Boeing builds brand-new planes and here at Museum of Flight in Seattle where many historic aircraft are preserved, I thought it would be appropriate to take home an airplane of my own.So here it is, a 1:200 Hogan scale model of a Boeing 787-8 in United Airlines livery. United takes delivery of its first 787 in two months or so, though in real life, the gold cheatline will have a sweeping curve rather than the standard horizontal line seen on this model (and on current United/Continental aircraft). After having traveled to some of the world's most special destinations on board United Airlines 767s and 777s, and having toured their birthplace, it's nice to go home with a scale model of an airplane that will bring me to even more great destinations in the future.For this trip though, I am not flying. In fact the model is sitting on top of my car, which had traveled over 3,300 miles from Los Angeles via Las Vegas, Yellowstone National Park, the Canadian Rockies, and Vancouver before coming to Seattle. Over 1,000 miles of driving remain ahead as I return to Los Angeles.This angle brings out the graceful curves of the 787's wings. |
