説明 | George Drown was born at Orange, MA on 3 November 1899. He enlisted in the Navy in 1920 and served as an Aviation Machinist’s and Carpenter’s Mate. He received training at the Newport, RI Naval training Station and subsequently served at the Naval Hospital, San Diego, CA, NAS San Diego, NAS Coco Solo, CZ and NAS Ream Field. During his career he was assigned to Naval Torpedo Squadron Two (VT-2B), Patrol Squadron Seven (VP-7F), Composite Squadron Forty (VC-40), Carrier Service Unit Thirteen (CASU-13) and on the USS Saratoga (CV-3), USS Wright (AV-1), and USS Badoeng Strait (CVE 116).
