| 説明 | Eupatorieae is a tribe in the Asteraceae family which includes many genera, including Ageratina, Conoclinium, Eupatorium, and Eutrochium. I saw less than a handful of these plants. All of them were growing in dry rocky soil under the patchy canopy of mixed deciduous and evergreen trees above the cliffs of Mather gorge, on the Virginia side of the Potomac river. Although they are known to prefer somewhat dry conditions, they all seemed to be struggling from the prolonged drought, with ragged looking foliage. |
