To the left humans are faced with rain decline. The man catching a catfish with a trident symbolizes the subjugation of earth. However, in the end nature gains the mastery: a vulture is waiting for its prey. In the centre a philoshopher with an hourglass tries to solve the problem of existence. By the sphinx guarding a sealed book indicates that he never will find solution for the eternal mystery of life. |
