| 説明 | This is a great and elegant example of curvilinear Decorated tracery in the midst of rural Norfolk, a complex, yet completely harmonious design. Sadly, the Black Death of the mid-14th century interrupted church-building throughout England, and when building resumed later in the century this fluid, expressive style, which lasted little more than half a century, was superseded by the more formal style known as Perpendicular from its emphasis on straight vertical lines. |
