| 説明 | On 15 July, in Paternoster Square (next to St Paul's Cathedral), eight aerial artists thrilled a crowd of a few hundred onlookers with a Games-inspired, pop-up performance by the troupe Streb (www.streb.org). The event was one of seven, surprise in-the-sky performances by more than 30 stunt artists around town throughout the day, including a dive off of Millennium Bridge. Dancers attach themselves to a spinning steel wheel. As the wobbly metal structure spins, the dancers confront ever-changing centers of gravity and rapidly shifting directional forces. When they returned to Earth after the 20-minute performance, many of them wobbled.The event was part of London 2012 Festival, formerly known as the Cultural Olympiad for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. |
