| 説明 | The oh so tempting road going right upto the Nathu La pass. I'd read that one can go right upto the pass and shake hands with, and get oneself photographed with the Chinese soldiers stationed there. Our tour company in Pune (Poona) unfortunately misguided us. They'd told us we could not book tours to Nathu La in advance from Pune (Poona) but it can be 'easily arranged locally' by our hotel concierge in Sikkim. WTF? Our hotel told us that there are quotas, and only this many people are allowed to go up each day, and it takes about a week to process the permit which is often refused for inexplicable reasons etc. Oh well, we at least got to see the pass from far.
