| 説明 | I think this photo of Old Town Street in Plymouth was probably taken in the early 1950s. The old Drake Circus with the Guiness advert is visible in the background - and the Boots building at the top of New George Street looks brand new. The right-hand side of Old Town Street appears to be still under reconstruction at this time - the new post-office at St Andrew's Cross did not open until 1957.There are some interesting photos of the changing face of Drake Circus on the BBC web site. |
