| 説明 | Uploaded a cropped version of this photo at 9.05 this morning, and delighted to say that MKSeery identified it very quickly as the back of the Rotunda Hospital in Dublin. However we needed some help on the date - and many arguments centred around the tennis courts.Niall McAuley provided a gorgeous link to the OSI Historic 25" maps showing the gardens and tennis court that appear in this photograph.FXRDublin gave 1888-1913 as the date for the OSI 25" historic map showing the tennis court, while see below for Niall McAuley's new "patent map dating algorithm" that narrowed the date (still tentatively) to 1907.Date: Circa 1907?NLI Ref.: L_CAB_02257 |
