Rowley flew in from Maui, Hawaii where the winter surf season shows all signs of being dead for a chance to test the waters at California’s premier big wave spot, Mavericks. In less than XXL conditions, Rowley and a small crew of Mavericks regulars enjoyed a morning of light winds and uncrowded waves.
