| 説明 | (1 in a multiple picture set)The Cedar Waxwings in the Kapok tree at the Morey Mansion in Redlands, CA at first looked like Stellar Jays to me. But they had a hint of red in them, and black 'eye shadow' around their eyes. I found that they are from the Northwest and were evidently here to winter.The tree too, was out of place. Normally only found in the rain forests, it is likely that Sarah Morley, a talented arbornist, planted the tree from seeds bought here by her seafaring husband, David. |
