| 説明 | RALEIGH, N.C. – North Carolina National Guard Tarheel Challenge Academy (TCA) Cadets toured the state capital here March 9. The cadets visited the Legislative Building and the Museums of History and Natural Science. “I learned a lot here, you can really see the history and picture it in your mind,” said Cadet Warren Zachary. The tours educate the cadets about state government and history and reinforce classroom lessons about North Carolina. “The kids read about it in a book but to see and touch makes it real,” said TCA history instructor Arthur Avery. The academy is a military-style boarding school run by the NCNG for high school age at risk youth. TCA mentors guide the cadets during a 12-month program after graduation.
