| 説明 | Given the rather late start to today's walking I was quite pleased to have logged 15 miles or so and managed to pitch my tent just before the snow began to fall. I'm taking shelter by the rampart of the Iron Age Prominatory Fort of Beckberry Camp. Perched right on the top of the escarpement, which in itself would have been the main structural defence. The enclosed area (shared with the sheep) is further protected by the earthworks wall which is on the right of my tent. It kept the wind at bay but was less efficient when it comes to snow! as can be seen from my early morning shot. The sheep were friendly (or hungry) but I'm not saying a word about which was my favourite!"On moonlit heath and lonesome bankThe sheep beside me graze"(A.E.Housman's A Shropshire Lad)."All they find outside the foldis a wretched width of cold"(Philip Larkin's Something Almost Being Said). |
