| 説明 | Th U.S. Postal Services issued a 2 cents postage stamp to celebrate the anniversaries of Henry Hudson’s navigation up the Hudson River in 1609 and Robert Fulton’s New York-to-Albany steamboat service in 1807.Hudson explored the region around modern New York metropolitan area while looking for a western route to Asia under the auspices of the Dutch East India Company, and laid thereby the foundation for Dutch colonization of the region. The postage stamp depicts Henry Hudson’s ship Half Moon and Robert Fulton’s steamer Clermont. This work is in the public domain in the United States because it is a work of the United States Federal Government under the terms of Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 105 of the US Code. |
