| 説明 | For the second year in a row a group of American wounded soldiers toured Israel on bikes with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). Their ten day “Soldier Ride” took them from the banks of the Dead Sea to the Western Wall in Jerusalem to the northern border with Syria. More than a tour, this program is intended to build community among the veterans to heal emotionally and physically. For most participants, it was their first trip to Israel. In touching encounters with wounded Israeli IDF soldiers, these visiting Americans learned how much we have in common. On the last leg of their journey, from Jaffa Port to Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv, the warriors were joined en masse by employees of the U.S. Embassy, their families, and students and teachers from the American International School in Even Yehuda. The ride culminated in a BBQ picnic in the park hosted and organized by the U.S. military attaché’s and their spouses. |
