They are now owned and occupied by Birmingham City Council, who refurbished the building in 2009-2010 as part of its Working for the Future programme.The refurbishment cost £23 million and increased employee occupancy from 800 to 2,000, as part of a programme to improve the property portfolio of the council and consolidate council services. Construction work was undertaken by Wates, and design work was by the city council's in-house design team. Behind is the Baggot Street student halls. |
