| 説明 | "California Ale" by Cast-Brauerei in Stuttgart, Batten-Wertenburg, Germany.The brewer is very new in town and cites Laguintas in California as one of his insperations, and it shows in this brew. The first bite on the tonge is hoppy, fresh, and pine-y and covers the mouth quickly. However at the end of the drink the beer has a watery afterbite which is quite unusual, it's something at first brush I don't care for. All in all I like this beer a good bit and am curious to see how my opinion grows after the second or third bottle, and I think it's fantastic someone who appreciates this taste has set up shop in Stuttgart. -- The beer pours slightly cloudy like an American IPA, smelly hoppy like and IPA, but has much less of a bite and only a 4.5% ABV.The brewers description, transalted and smoothed by me: "The California Ale at 4.5% ABV is a pale lager beer from a San Francisco recipe. We use four different hop varieties from two different countries (USA and Germany) to give the beer a typical lemon and grapefruit flavor. The beer has a bitter hoppy flavor."He's also brewing a tripel that's "coming soon" which I'm very eager to taste.
