説明 | Today I decided to give the fisheye filter a try at the suspension monorail terminus in Wuppertal-Vohwinkel. Here is my verdict: It has its pros and cons. Nice is that you can apply the effect to every focal length you have because you are adding it in post production. Thus you are not confined to the short focal lengthes of "real" fisheye lenses. Another positive aspect is that you can influence the degree of distortion. That's cool! And what's even better: Depending on the lens you are using the image quality might be much better than what many "real" fisheye lenses deliver. One clever thing is that the camera produces a copy of the image you have selected first. So there is no risk of spoiling the original file. On the other hand there is one drawback: To me the effect does not look entirely convincing . But anyhow I think the filter of Nikon's D90 camera deserves further exploration. After all it's for free, and that's fantastic for people like me who need the fisheye effect only occasionally (at best). If you plan to test the fisheye filter I recommend to leave some space at the edges of the image when you shoot because you will have to sacrifice some "flash" to gain the effect. |
