| 説明 | For many of us nowadays, the name Crean is familiar because of the exploits of Ireland's great sailor/explorer Tom Crean, a Kerryman from Annascaul. The "O'Creans" of Sligo on the other hand may not be quite as well known, so this image of the "Tomb of the O'Crean's" should shed some light on the name. When it was constructed it must have been a really impressive monument, though being part of a ruined wall does not help.Photographer: UnknownCollection: Eason Photographic CollectionDate: between 1900-1939NLI Ref: EAS_3385You can also view this image, and many thousands of others, on the NLI’s catalogue at catalogue.nli.ie |
