| 説明 | This photo from 1931 shows four workers from CampbellConstruction. They are ready to start the day working on Highway 7 near Kaladar. Left to right: Bill McDonald, unknown, Lou McRay, and Bill Thompson. This construction was underway during the Depression, and we can only speculate about what the wages were. Various figures from 15 to 50 cents an hour have been offered by some sources, and others say 50 cents a day was good wages. But having any job at all during the Depression was the important thing.
